Every year, crowds of literature lovers flock to Dublin on June 16th to celebrate the life of famed Irish writer, James Joyce, and relive some of the events in his universally-acclaimed novel – all of which took place in Dublin on June 16, 1904. This vibrant celebration is best enjoyed with our very special Ulysses walking tour. Ramble through the life of Leopold Bloom and recreate his iconic walk through Dublin. Along the way, you’ll see highlights such as the James Joyce Statue, the James Joyce Centre, and Belveder College, Joyce’s old school. You’ll also see famous places from the novel, including Monto (the former red light district of Dublin), Westland Row Railway Station, Sweny’s Pharmacy, and many more, before finishing at Davy Byrne’s pub – the location of Leopold Bloom’s famous lunch. At that very pub, surrounded by other enthusiasts dressed in the fashions of the early 1900s, you can raise a glass in honour of Ireland’s most illustrious writer.
