Most of the dishes have the authentic Iberian taste. We had croquetas (rich flavor, creamy and really well balanced). Prego/bikini bites are too pricy and nothing special. Tortilla is cooked in the Spanish authentic way. However, personally I would add also the classic tortilla to the menu. Gambas were tasty and well cooked. Basque cheese cake was delicious. Coco loco cocktail is too expensive for what you get. Basically a shot of the mix they do with a massive ice cube. I don’t know about the other cocktails but would not get it again as it is not worth it. Last but not least, staff is lovely. Great atmosphere.
Cool restaurant close to St. Stephens Green, colourful interiors and hip vibe. The staff is friendly, and Adra's service was attentive and competent. The food was tasty and well presented. We tried many dishes and the one that impressed us the most was the Iberico pork presa (some of the dishes are on the salty side but overall very good). The menu is pricey, with many interesting dishes to choose from.
Overall, I was disappointed. It was a highly anticipated restaurant on my list, so I was looking forward to it. In terms of positives, the food was of high quality sourcing, and the staff were very attentive and helpful which set a nice tone to the dinner. My main disappointment was in relation to the price point, with the dishes provided. None more so than then Wild Seabass. We received 320g for €54. At a fish shop, Wild Cornish Seabass can be priced from a range of around €45-50 a kilo. The rate a which you buy it wholesale will be even lower. For a chargrilled 320g chunk, with little to no work required to produce it as presented, it was just too much. Many restaurants in Dublin can provide high quality meats like this, with better cooking methods for much less than this price point. Or, the same price point but with more meat provided. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing special. A hefty bill at the end just didn’t feel like it was worth it.
I celebrated my birthday here and had such an amazing experience. We ordered a variety of tapas as well as the “secreto,” which was absolutely incredible. The highlights for me were definitely the mussels in escabeche and the Spanish tortilla—both were outstanding. And the dessert was just as impressive! The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive, and they even brought me a candle to blow out for my birthday, which was such a lovely touch. As a Spanish person, I can honestly say this is the best Spanish restaurant in Dublin. Everyone took great care of us, and a special mention goes to our waitress, Klaudia, who made the experience even more memorable.
Had a brilliant lunch here today with a friend. We had two sleeping babies in prams, and after giving the restaurant a heads-up in advance they were incredibly accommodating. It’s worth noting that the restaurant is a smaller, intimate space and isn't necessarily built for buggies or babies, so we were very conscious of not wanting to disturb other guests. However, the team was so kind and found us a spot with enough room to park up. They also have changing facilities upstairs. The food was truly exceptional. The Croquettes easily my favourite, absolutely perfect and the Squid was fresh light, and delicious and cooked perfectly. We loved the tortilla, the portions are generous and meant to be shared family style. As we both don’t eat meat we went with the sea bream, beautifully prepared. There were several non meat options which was great. We ordered both sides with our fish again so tasty. On the waitress's advice, we finished with the Basque Cheesecake. Even though we were nearly full, it was utterly delicious and well worth the extra room! A massive thank you to the team for being so welcoming and for making two very tired mums feel so looked after. We really appreciated the hospitality.
