Too stuffy and the food was mediocre at best. Half a lobster for 60 euros is insane. There were only 6 people in the restaurant and the waiters were still auctioning off the plates- how hard is it to keep the orders straight for a table of 2? Ordered an old fashioned for $15 and it was one ounce at best. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing experience here, the food was that good I ended up getting another 2 starters and dessert after already eating a starter and main course. Never done that before but couldn't help myself. I had the mussels, calamari and crab salad, main dish was the chefs special which consisted of lobster, prawns and scallops, for dessert I had the orange cheese cake. Everything was absolutely amazing! A fabulous selection of wines as well to top it off. Definitely would highly recommend to everyone as there are dishes on the menu which are not seafood and they do serve bottled beer. The service was absolutely tops, all the servers were so polite and attentive, cannot fault anything at all.

Ambiance and setting were nice, a show of spread of available seafood on a bar cart in the beginning was also a nice touch, but the food quality and the portion sizes were unmatched to our expectations. We know it was a starter size, but an order of fish goujons came with 6 tiny pieces. Hot seafood we ordered, the mussels, dublin prawn + scallops, and combination lobster, were all not seasoned very well. Lastly, the bill came with 23% vat added on top of the menu prices. We may have missed a small fine print perhaps when we read the menu but we weren’t expecting it. So the pricing was even worse than what we already found. Not sure if we were baited as we “looked” like foreigners visiting, but in any case, there are much better seafood restaurants in Dublin. The only thing nice was my more than usually filled house white wine, which I did appreciate. Overall, not the experience we expected. Go elsewhere and not waste your money.

A cozy place with a feel of good food to be had. We had great evening here with friends. Crab , Calamari starters excellent. Most had Dublin bay prawns and just superb. Sides were good and very helpful waiters when we asked for items not on the menu. Enjoyed good loire wines at reasonable prices for the fish. Our party were delighted with the experience. Will be back.

This restaurant has a cosy and elegant atmosphere, with attentive servers who do not rush you at all. The seafood is very tasty and the desserts looked good (though we didn't partake). The vegetable sides are almost uniformly overdone, though -- just get the creamed spinach and forget about the broccoli, cauliflower or green beans, which are tasteless and overdone. Whyyyyy??? This is a throwback place that may well be coasting on tourists. You can eat much better at many other spots in town, but the servers and the atmosphere is charming and beautifully quiet.
