We stopped by Xi’an Street Food on Anne Street after seeing it recommended on TikTok, and it made for a great lunch while shopping around Dublin. We ordered the Hot Oil Splashed Noodles with stewed beef. Since everything is made from scratch, there was a bit of a wait. The noodles were thick and silky, and the beef was tender, but overall we thought the dish was just okay and not worth the wait. The real star of the meal was the Xi’an Famous Spice Bag. It was hands down one of our favorite things we ate in Ireland. The seasoning was incredibly unique and packed with flavor, and adding the curry sauce took it to another level. We’re already craving it now, again, since we are heading back to the States soon. Overall, we’d skip the noodles next time and order a spice bag each. If you’re in Dublin, this is absolutely worth a visit just for the Spice Bag alone.
We ended up here based on a recommendation, but honestly, it feels a bit like a tourist trap. Don't get me wrong, the portions are absolutely massive and the food actually tastes good, but it is heavy, standard junk food. It's nothing unique or mind-blowing that a tourist should have on their Dublin bucket list. You can get a very similar fast-food experience in many other places. The place gets incredibly crowded, and the staff is constantly rushing to serve everyone. If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience, this probably isn't the spot. However, if you are just looking for a massive amount of comforting, heavy food to fill you up, it does the job.
Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 After a full day of Guinness around Dublin, I was fancy Asian and ended up here completely by accident, just walked past in the middle of the city and thought, why not? 😄 The place looked simple, authentic, like proper street food vibes, and it was absolutely packed with locals. No spare tables anywhere! I preferred not to sit at the counter, but the waitress kindly found me a spot. You order from the kiosk, which honestly confused me so much 😅 I had no idea what to pick, turned around, saw a huge queue behind me waiting… panic! I grabbed my bag and told the staff they could give my table away because I was leaving. But then Gráinne stepped in and genuinely wanted to help. She explained the menu, helped me choose, and was so warm, super kind, and knowledgeable. Honestly, I’ve rarely seen service like that, someone actually changing a customer’s mind about leaving! She was superb. The food? Fresh, tasty, and the noodles came in a giant bowl, very happy 😆 Big credit to the whole team, especially Gráinne, a big shout out to her! Everyone was friendly, hardworking, and worked so well together. You can tell they really care about the place. No wonder it’s always full! Well done!
I've eaten spicebags from all over dublin but had yet to grace the doors of arguably the cities most popular spot . The main reason being there's always a queue and no seating ha, well lucky for me I got a seat last weekend and decided to try the famous bag. Ill be honest, I thought maybe it had been hyped up too much for me , but I was thoroughly impressed . Seasoning was excellent , chicken great quality . The curry sauce was too small but it was tasty. I also got a roujimao (Chinese burger) but I wasn't crazy on this, it needed a bit more seasoning and lacked some flavour . But the reason I came was the spicebag and that certainly hit the spot and lived up to the hype for me
Tried Xian Street Food Dublin and ordered the Spice Bucket and the Laksa Curry — both were absolutely packed with flavor. The Spice Bucket was really tasty with a great mix of textures and just the right level of spice. It felt like a perfect comfort meal with generous portions. The Laksa Curry was equally impressive — rich, aromatic, and full of depth. The broth had a lovely balance of spice and creaminess, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Overall, a great spot for bold, flavorful food and something a bit different. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dublin and craving Asian street food. Would happily come back to try more from the menu!
