Everything was incredible. We got the tandoori chicken (definitely get the sauce with it), khubani kofta curry, and masala cheese chili naan. It went together perfectly. For dessert we ordered the Ferrero chocolate and it was the most delightful treat to end a very delicious dinner. The service and vibes of the restaurant were lovely. A new favorite!
Pickle is easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin. The Tandoori prawns were absolutely extraordinary, and the chicken wings were so flavourful. The butter chicken was the best we’ve had so far, and the tandoori chicken was also very good. We finished with the Ferrero desert, which was delicious. It was my husband’s birthday, and the team made the moment really special for us. Thank you so much for making our day memorable.
Overall coming from North India I expected the food to be slightly better. The atmosphere was good and the hospitality was top notch. It was a birthday dinner surprise, we ordered farmers butter chicken (was very close to chicken curry not gulati trust me its not butter chicken! dry chicken). Next biryani (fancy reveal but again taste was very disappointing)- beyond dry chicken, too much curry that made rice soggy and sticky. Next was Naan - mint paratha charred that we could feel in our mouth. Naans = Roti size. Only thing we liked was their starters, they nailed the Sev Puri, Aloo Tikki OG. They were kind enough to not charge us for the biryani we insisted to pay but they removed from the bill. Gulab Jamun - real! - Must try. We expected something wowing, but it turns out to be overrated in terms of food and money. I'm convinced that real Indian, especially North Indian food is in those small hidden Dublin restaurants. Ps: Wine with Indian sweets, no man!
First time visiting Pickle last week following many recommendations by friends. We were very impressed, not only with the food, but also with the service. One or two of the dishes were slightly on the spicier side, but that's just a matter of personal preference for milder dishes. We arrived 30mins earlier than our booking by accident and they were happy to accommodate us. A lovely restaurant to visit for a special occasion. We will definitely be back.
Top notch Indian restaurant. Excellent attentive service without too much hovering over us. The food presentation is exquisite for the Murgh Anardana starter, highly recommend. The Chowk Ki Aloo Tikki is very authentic and hit the spot as a vegetarian starter. The Achari Jhinga was also great. Pappadums is also a delicious appetizer with your beer or other drink, comes with 2 dipping sauces. Among the mains we have had Tandoori Chicken, the Chicken Biriyani, and the Sindhi Ghosht . All were well spiced, cooked just right and loaded with flavor!! The side Bhindi Masala is highly recommended. Portion was a good value for the price. Ghar ki Daal is another one we got, it is a standard daal. The bread basket costs only a little more than one naan and is recommended as it has a variety of 3 breads you can try, unless you’re avoiding carbs. A side of Raita helped in rounding off the meal for us with some cooling yogurt mixed with cucumber and seasoned. All in all, an exquisite dining experience of the type we had at Pickle does not come often - and we’ve eaten in multitudes of Indian restaurants in 35 + countries all over the world.
