Shouk’s popularity is clear from the sheer size of the restaurant and the broad appeal of its food. Arrive hungry—the portions are generous from starters through to mains, so sharing a starter or platter is a smart idea. The service was excellent, and our platter let us sample several dishes we might not have ordered separately. The mains were delicious and filling. Booking ahead is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Absolutely divine as always. Went for a Father’s Day meal and the entire family was left raving about the quality of the food. I highly recommend the small mezze sharing platter for groups 4 and under to start with. I always get the Aarayes which is a delight everytime. The chicken that came on the hummus was beautifully tender and exceeded expectations. As for desserts, we decided to try two new ones instead of our usual order of Kenafeh, but I think we all felt slightly underwhelmed as they were both very tarte and not to our personal taste (for anyone who feels adventurous). Reservations are encouraged!
We held our engagement party at Shouk’s newly renovated outdoor patio area and could not have been more impressed or pleased. The venue itself is stunning with so much natural light and the ability to have an open or closed roof. Evening in the evening it was bright and beautiful. Maya and her team were helpful and attentive in the lead up and during the night. They spoiled us rotten and made us feel right at home. They took care of everything which made the evening feel so seamless. The food is unmatched. It’s always been a favorite for sitting in or takeaway and somehow their group dining offer outdoes it. We had a diverse menu and each individual item was delicious. While we’ve always been fans of Shouk I would say it now holds a very special place in our hearts. Our guests who hadn’t been before were blown away and said they’d be back in a heartbeat. We cannot recommend the restaurant enough for date nights, family dinners, group events, or anything in between. It manages to be something completely unique in Dublin.
This would have been a five star as the food and restaurant itself was very nice. However we waited the best part of an hour for our food, which was frustrating given we explained at the beginning we had a plane to catch and the waitress said she would push it along. When we saw people had sat down the same time as us eat and leave we complained and the food came out within 5 minutes. The staff were apologetic and tried their best to sort it from that point. Most would give one star for this but mistakes do happen and I liked the vibe of the restaurant. The food was cooked to order and fresh, which is challenging.
Absolutely incredible, the food was some of the best I've ever had. I genuinely ascended while eating, beautiful combination of flavours and each dish is obviously made with care. Will be delightfully coming back.
