Description

What my tour provides is an indepth history of the great Landmarks and Buildings of Dublin City with plenty of stories included, the tour is both entertaining and informative. The tour begins at The Molly Malone Statue and then we will walk along some of Dublin's most fashionable and popular streets before we venture on to Dublin Castle and the Dubh linn Gardens and then we will take a short stroll to the iconic St Patrick's Cathedral established in 1191, next-door to the Cathedral is Marsh's Library which is Ireland's oldest library founded in 1707, here we will also see Ireland's oldest school dating back to 1432, next up is St Patrick's Park where it's believed St Patrick baptised pagans here to Christianity in the 5th Century. A short walk up the street is Christchurch Cathedral and Viking Dublin, then it's on to Wood Quay the site of the first Viking settlement in Dublin City from the year 840, next a walk along the River Liffey and on up to Fishamble Street Dublin's oldest Street, then we will make are way through the famous entertainment hub of Temple Bar and see all the best nite life establishments, we will finish our tour by O'Connell Bridge/O'Connell Street and tell the story of Ireland's great liberator Daniel O'Connell. During the course of the tour you will hear the history and the stories behind all these wonderful landmarks. The tour last 3 hours approximately.
