Green Bench Café
Dublin
A welcome addition to the eating landscape in the Camden Street area, the Green Bench Café is a labour of love in more ways than one for husband-and-wife team Zuzana (front of house) and Jason (in the kitchen).
The pair have worked together for many years, most recently in one of Sydney's renowned cafe and catering establishments. These days, lucky Dublin benefits from their return to the Emerald Isle and shared passion for good food.
Everything here is fresh and natural - and local and organic whenever possible. The Green Bench Café never use anything artificial, and everything on offer is hand made from scratch on premises each and every day.
Open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacking, the Green Bench Café 'adapts traditional flavours and gives them a twist to create a modern, healthy, gourmet experience.' Specials are posted daily on Facebook and Twitter.
The whole menu is delicious, but we're mad about their sandwiches (along with anyone we know who's ever tried them). We can't resist the great value of the 'soup & sambo combo' - you'll be very full and very happy for well under €10.
Tucked away on Montague Street (a narrow corridor connecting Camden and Harcourt Streets), this is a little wonder - with the namesake pale green bench just outside the front door. Take a small detour and discover something special.
