Can't rate Daruma highly enough. Visited with friends for an evening meal and all of the food and drinks were incredible. Beautifully presented with so much attention to detail, high quality, and all tasted delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful and explained what the elements of the dishes were when they were brought out. Also bought a beautiful Daruma rice bowl (thank you to the staff member who kindly translated the Japanese for me!) Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.
NB* you can't taste through a picture, taste it yourself before you can make a comment about it! Cracking meal from the get go. Thursday night, no reservation and we were welcomed with a warmth that isn't one to fill a seat but one that makes you feel genuinely welcome. Every member of staff was amazing, Sota being the definite standout! He knew it all, asked questions about what we would like and also answered questions with very knowledgeable answers. Great service, great food and and a very comfortable setting. 5/5 or 10/10 for us.
We randomly went here and we were not disappointed. The food was really good, and the service even better. We only tried two of the cocktails and they were quite good, with a Japanese twist. Overall we were quite satisfied with the food and the prices :)
It’s our second time at Daruma and we always leave feeling full and happy. The quality of the fresh fish, the cooking points, and the combination of flavors are outstanding. There isn’t a single dish we didn’t fully enjoy. We ordered nigiri, lobster croquettes, scallops, gambas, and for dessert the matcha truffle and the miso cheesecake. The best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life. Creamy, sweet, perfect. It truly doesn’t taste like any other. I recommend it 100%. The service was excellent and we love the atmosphere. We’ve always sat at the bar, where you get a different and more interesting interaction with the staff.
The best Japanese restaurant in Dublin. My partner and I have been coming for years and the food is always so fresh and tasty. Also a great cocktail menu. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and such an authentic atmosphere. Can not recommend enough.
