This place is truly a head above the rest, spectacular service and a gorgeous panoramic view of Howth harbour and beaches. The seafood is fresh, you must order the oysters. Properly coursed meals and service, rare these days. Took one point off as they charge for still water which was defs tap, otherwise very impressed overall. Such a fabulous experience and end of a lovely eve in Howth. Cannot recommend enough!
Overall, it is a nice restaurant for Howth with great views and good service, but the food definitely has room for improvement. The atmosphere is lovely, the views are beautiful😍 and the service we received was very pleasant and attentive. It is a nice spot to spend time. Unfortunately, the mains were a disappointment. My steak arrived quite burnt on the outside. To make matters worse, the chicken we ordered for our child was also dry and overcooked to the point of being burnt. It was a shame because everything else about the place was great. The restaurant has a lot of potential thanks to its location and staff, but they really need to improve the kitchen's cooking skills, especially when it comes to grilling meat and chicken.
We had a wonderful experience here! The seafood chowder was absolutely delicious, and the bread was amazing — fresh, warm, and hard to stop eating. We also loved the crème brûlée; it was the perfect way to end the meal. What really made the day special was how thoughtful the staff were. They surprised my husband with ice cream for his birthday, which was such a sweet touch and made our visit even more memorable. Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere.
Wonderful service, no long time waiting for your food, which was served in a high professional way. Great view also from the restaurant. Great service provided by the efficient staff.
Mother's Day Lunch 2026 - rigatoni, half a dozen oysters, seafood platter (small). We have been celebrating Mother's Day at Aqua for nearly 20 years - food and service remain excellent with a lot of the staff who have been there consistently! Highly recommend.
