Description

You'll meet your local guide near St. Stephen's Green, a historical park in the center of Dublin. Talk a short stroll to one of the city's most beloved establishments, part of Merrion Row’s famed “Bermuda Triangle' of pubs. ( where people have been known to get lost for 3 days!) Sip a locally brewed beer as you learn about this spot’s connection to musical greats—The Dubliners got their start here, and countless other Irish bands and musicians have crossed it's doors through the decades. Your next stop was a favourite haunt of many of Ireland’s greatest writers, such as Yeats, Behan, and Shaw. Going strong since the 1840s, it’s held onto its Victorian charm, complete with two secluded 'snugs' where women could relish a pint in privacy. There’s no more atmospheric place to enjoy a quintessential Dublin drink: the one and only Guinness. Next stop, learn how to make your own perfect Irish Coffee in a favourite haunt of another Irish literary great, James Joyce. This gem has been in operation for over 200 years! It's also famously where Joyce first laid eyes on the woman who became the love of his wife, Nora. Enjoy a stroll past Trinity College as you head to the final stop of your Dublin pub tour. This Georgian building is now home to a stylish bar, where you slip through the main area to a private whiskey-tasting bar. One of their expert bartenders will lead your group in a tasting of two distinct Irish whiskeys. You’ll also enjoy a handcrafted whiskey cocktail to deepen your appreciation for this beloved national spirit. Your Dublin pub tour officially ends here. However, you’re welcome to stay at the cozy bar for as long as you’d like before heading off to dinner.
