This place is absolutely wonderful and has such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the carbonara pasta and it was incredibly good—the pancetta was absolutely delicious! Huge compliments to the chef Hector; I have never had Italian pasta in Dublin quite like this before. Highly recommended
Service was really good, very friendly and attentive, the restaurant is cozy. Unfortunately though the food is bad value for money. For starters we got the bruschetta di zucchine (okay at best, the zucchini was bland but overall 3/5) My friend got the salumi board which was good but had oil drizzled on top (be sure to let the waiters know if this is not your thing) What really dragged the review down is the two pasta dishes. The seafood linguini and the fish is quite bland and lacks salt, the mussels were well cooked, however. As for the truffle pasta, it was bland and overcooked, lacked salt and didn’t have any truffle. We called over the waitress who was very understanding and made sure to get the dish back to the chef who gave us a replacement. The replacement is in the last picture, there is no truffle but lots of truffle oil, pasta was still overcooked and bland unfortunately. We also asked for parmesan cheese and they had the pre-grated stuff. All this to say, the place is not bad per se but if you’re going to spend this amount of money better spend it somewhere where the food is worth it.
Great vibe in this little Italian bistro. We arrived early for our reservation and sat on the tables out front enjoying a few cocktails. When we sat to eat inside, our server told us about the chalkboard specials. We went ahead and ordered all three for the two of us. It was a perfect meal for two, we enjoyed a bottle of Valpolicella and for dessert a panna cotta with a berry jam. Whole thing was less than €200 and I feel like we got plenty for the money. Everything was delicious.
Food was magnificent! —Thank you, Giuseppe! You are an incredibly talented and creative chef! The tartufi and carbonara were perfect. And I've never had better sautéed mixed vegetables—so light and fresh and crisp and perfectly seasoned! The drinks were fantastic! —Thank you, José. Tiramisu martini was incredible! And the service was top notch first rate! Thank you Miguel! Wonderful intimate atmosphere. Very nice decor. We will definitely dine at Di Luca again the next time we are in Dublin. Highly highly recommended!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Di Luca Restaurant is an Italian restaurant that everyone should try at least once. The food is absolutely delicious, and the desserts are just as amazing! Every bite was a pleasure. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We truly had a 5-star dinner and couldn’t be happier with our visit. We highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality Italian food. Thank you so much to the entire team! Yes, we will definitely be back! 🇮🇹✨
