The Cake Café
Dublin
The Cake Café makes cakes for birthdays, weddings, elevenses - any excuse to eat cake, really.
The leafy courtyard is a secret haven - you have to know it's there to find it. But we'll tell you exactly where to look: enter through Daintree Paper, 61 Camden Street (head straight through the shop).
This is more than just a bakery. You can have fantastic coffee, a glass of prosecco, or their famous beans on toast (amongst other savouries). Everything is prepared fresh to order using the very best Irish produce.
The Cake Café do their utmost to support small Irish food producers, and to operate in an environmentally friendly manner (they even use rain water to flush the toilets). They supply office lunches in the area and have created a beautiful book plus some jazzy tea towels, aprons and homeware.
