Absolutely incredible. Makes me want to return to Dublin just to eat here and maybe check out some of the other FK Buckley locations. I ordered medium and it came out slightly more medium well. They offered me another steak but I kept it and it was delicious. These guys are professional and next time I'll make sure to order medium rare.
We had a fantastic evening at The Bull and Castle. Being run by F.X. Buckley, our expectations for the meat were high – and they were completely exceeded! The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. The sides and the wine selection were also outstanding. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. A huge shoutout to the staff as well: the service was attentive, warm, and highly professional. If you are in Dublin and want to enjoy world-class beef in a great pub/restaurant setting, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back!
Came by for dinner on 5-16-26 and was thoroughly amazed. The decor was great as was the bar area. We sat at the bar and our server was Tavi assisted by Laura. Tavi was very personable and made us feel welcomed. He gave us some whiskey recommendations as well as sights to see in Dublin. My wife and I split a Caesar salad and ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare, it has a nice char to it and was juicy and flavorful. The mash potatoes and Ceaser were great as well. The whole experience was more than what we could ask for based on the food and service by Tavi. I highly recommend this steak house for anyone looking for great food.
The Bull & Castle is a wonderfull restaurant specializing in meats. Located in Christchurch, the restaurants seating looks out at the Cathedral. We booked a table the same day and sat neer the window with a great view 👌. We ordered the porterhouse steak for 2 and some cocktails. The waiter was very friendly and entertaining. He brought our food quickly, exactly as requested. The cocktails were fantastic! The steak was tasty and juicy cooked medium rare. The price per person was 85€, which is reasonable for a steakhouse. The place had a cozy feel, darker colors of wood. Not a place for vegans for sure. I highly recommend visiting! We will for sure next time we are in Dublin.
As I first walked into the restaurant, I was captivated by the atmosphere and decor. The place is much more fancy than I expected from initial photos. The service is professional and caring about our experience. The food itself, specifically the steaks, is great. I loved their fillet steak that I had as a surf and turf with gambas and chimichuri sauce. The meat is very soft, fresh, absolutely amazing. They cooked it just as I ordered it and did not put too much salt on it as other steakhouses do, which I absolutely loved. I highly recommend the place for some great steak and a pint of guiness :)
