Here we had our first Irish pints and I don’t know any bar that will live up to McNeill’s! Perfect pints, excellent toastie, clean and fun. And our bartender Johnathan was not only a great barkeep but a talented musician, photographer, and great conversationalist. A must stop for your Dublin trip.

A warm welcome in this friendly old fashioned pub. I think we've found our new favourite watering hole when we're in town. Just off the shopping area around Jervis, we recommend you rest your weary bones with one of the best pints of Guinness in town, in this friendly little pub.

Great pub in central Dublin. Less of a tourist trap than your temple bar likes. Although you can tell it was played up a bit for tourists, still it was great. Very good creamy Guinness was served for a decent price for Dublin (7euro). Good game of hurling was on and a nice fire. Sadly it has limited seating and only two bathrooms. Overall a great place to sit down and have a pint after walking around Dublin seeing the sites.

We went here on Monday night for live music and beers. The guys were amazing, great vibe and good drinks. We’ve felt like we’ve just joined some friends making some music and having fun. Some locals and some other tourists but definitely no tourist trap! We will definitely come back. Btw if you don’t like Guiness try Beamish 😉

Great little pub, with the kind of Irish pub atmosphere you're likely looking for. Staff is friendly and serves a great pint. Order at the bar then take it back to your seat, or stand. Went on a random Saturday night, listened in on the locals talking with the bartender. Playful banter seemed to be the theme of conversation, something about local 'greasy spoons' restaurants and the few remaining in the city. Picked up some good tips on local eateries, just by eavesdropping! ;) At one point, the bartender brought out a 200 year old fiddle to show one of the patrons, didn't get the story behind it though. All in all, a great few hours spent here with my wife. Goes to show, listening while travels takes your further than always trying to be heard! ;) Dublin rocks!
