l'Gueuleton
Dublin
At l'Gueuleton you'll enjoy unfussy French food with flair, smack in the city centre.
The menu varies, but l'Gueuleton's emphasis is on classics done in a clean modern style.
On our last visit we had the Shallot Tarte Tatin, Hazelnut Crusted Goats Cheese with Beetroot Salad and Honey Dressing, Slow Roast Rare Breed Pork Belly, and Ribeye Steak with Café de Paris Butter - each dish beautifully done.
You'll experience charming service and pleasing presentation in a hip - but not overhyped - setting. There is a no-reservations policy (which is not unknown in Dublin these days), so at peak times you may need to be patient. That said we've visited a number of times, and were seated pretty rapidly.
And if you're wondering about the name - 'gueuleton' means an especially nice big meal, a slap-up treat - we'd say it's apt.
