A great traditional Irish pub. We popped in for dinner on the way back from Guinness Storehouse to our hotel as it was halfway. We weren’t disappointed. As is typical when you order Guinness in Ireland the barman took our order and then after the Guinness had been poured properly he brought our drinks over to us. Food was table service. The menu was quite typical Irish pub fayre but with a little twist. Some decent veggie options, the Onion Bhaji burger and a goats cheese salad which we both ordered. Service was prompt, food was good. Some interesting features to Devitts with what must be regulars having their own whisky lockers. Devitts is quite clearly more a locals and after work place than a tourist place. Can highly recommend.

In from the states and wanted to have a real Irish pub experience, we went upstairs for live music along with our dinner and it was truly such a wonderful experience. Service was beyond stellar, all the waitresses we encountered were so warm and welcoming when we came in and attentive throughout our meal. Food was delicious- my dad had the roast of the day which was bacon and cabbage and we all wished we had ordered the same- that cabbage was SO good!! Truly feel we’ve been disappointing my Irish ancestors by making such drab cabbage our whole lives- can’t recommend enough such a lovely meal 💚🤍🧡

Great food but the drinks menu had no prices on it. Most odd. And staff seem to think it strange you might want to know how expensive the wine you were buying was. Dublin coddle and the warm goats cheese salad were fabulous. And despite being there till after 8, no music

Good pub, the food was really good too – the Guinness stew was excellent! There’s also good live music in the evenings. However, it seems to be quite a crowd-puller at the moment, so by 8:00 pm it’s completely packed and extremely loud! You couldn’t hear a thing of the music! This place is definitely not recommended for a cosy evening with music.

Wanting to experience a traditional Irish pub, this came up as a local with positive reviews. On arrival I recieved a very friendly and welcoming greeting, I sat at the bar but on reflection I wish I had chosen to sit upstairs to enjoy the live music, but I cannot fault the service at the bar. I ordered the beef and Guinness stew with chips (not mash, I simply couldn't do another night of mash). OH MY the steak gravy was unbelievably good, rich, deeply flavoured, and full of depth. The beef itself was so soft and packed with flavour. It was a very filling dish, made even better by trying to mop up as much of that delicious gravy with my chips. So comforting. Another perfect choice for solo travellers.
