Library Street Restaurant

Good spot to try a preset menu with wine pairing. The service was nice and atmosphere is chill and noninvasive. The food however left a dual impression. Some pre courses were amazing - flavourful and balanced, but some other ones were not as nuanced and rich. Same goes for main courses and deserts: some dishes were excellent, while other ones were less interesting and lacked the “oompf”. And again, same story with wine tasting: some wines complemented the dishes well, while other ones were just wines. Given how much the pairing costs, I was hoping for better quality and experience. And also, maybe it’s a me problem, but 5 glasses of wine is a lot!😅
Very nice restaurant for a special dinner in Dublin! Plates very well presented and with particular combinations. The cabbage and the hamachi were my favorite! I would recommend going in a group and getting different plates to share, so you get a taste of everything. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to seat even if we arrived a bit late. I would recommend to book in advance because it’s quite small inside. Will definitely come back!
Dined here on a recent trip to Dublin, on Setanta Place. Creatively composed menu, backed up by excellent dishes and fresh ingredients. Incredibly creative and brave. The setting is minimalist, understated and relaxed, yet refined. Courses, combinations and balance of each plate were consistently excellent and beautifully presented. Serious dining spot. Minor subjective detail - glassware and flatware could be upped to meet the excellence of the cuisine. Moments of rustic sophistication and refinement. Marinated turbo head was insane.Great cocktails and extremely attentive and gracious staff. Overall, a rich and wonderful experience that I will remember for a long time. Highly recommended.
Fantastic! From the service to the seasonal dishes, one of the highlights of my dining experience in Dublin. The team are friendly and very knowledgeable, and the food absolutely delicious, with great wine options. Special shout to the wild garlic risotto and lamb dish. Thank you to the team at Library.
Had this place saved for a special occasion and it did not disappoint! The staff is absolutely incredible, super knowledgeable and massively attentive. The level of professionalism but friendliness brings the dining experience to a different level. My whole party agreed the snacks and starters were the standouts, so would definitely recommend getting multiple of those and then one dish from the entrees. Began with the Artichokes, Rabbit and Ox-tongue, and hamachi. These were all outstanding, so much flavor depth and beautifully done. Next we had McNally’s leaves, the risotto, and agnolotti again all of which were phenomenal. The agnolotti was the crowd favorite, such a unique dish but all the components worked perfectly together. For mains we got the turbot head and lamb saddle, both were great but tough to follow up the starters. Finally we had the Mille-Feuille for desert, another beautiful dish. Pastry was super thin and the sorbet was complimentary and floral. Loved our meal and would definitely return again. Again, going to shout out the service, just so attentive even allowed my father to go into the kitchen and chat with the chefs. Highly recommend for a quality dining experience with super unique dishes.
