The Oval is a fantastic pub! The beer is always very good and served nice and cold. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have the opportunity to come here whenever I can, and every visit is always a great experience. Highly recommended!
Great food, beer and staff. The staff could not have been more helpful, the food was great and the beer welcome. This is a little gem
Great service, great food, and great atmosphere created by this historical place. Indoor design is amazing, real Irish pub vibe. I learn that usually you need to go one floor up to kind of restaurant/ food part at those pubs, and beers and music 🎵 are usually at the ground floor. Of course at such places all toilets are downstairs, no wheels could potentially reach there, narrow, no super clean, and not kids friendly, so as the pubs in overall across Dublin. That is a minus, as during a day you still would eat with your family at such historical place, but WC are difficult then . Anyway the Irish soup of the day was great, and Irish beef on the potatoes bed was amazing. Big portions are served in Ireland. Guiness is perfect as always here.
I liked it very much. The ambiente is wonderful. The menu is not easy to understand, especially if youre not used to the native word or phrases. (use google lens to get an idea of what you prefere to eat) Being first time in Dublin, you need to be here or else, once during your visit. We planned to come again.
