Directions to Anseo
Anseo means 'here' in Irish. And here is where you'll find DJs spinning, plus live music and comedy gigs upstairs (including some names who visit to do warm-up shows for bigger venues).
The interior design isn't particularly design-y, but that's in keeping with Anseo's low-key, non-hipster vibe. Along those same unpretentious lines, staff are friendly and drinks are reasonably priced.
It's a smallish space which can be packed on busy weekends, but it has a certain charm compared to much bigger venues in the area. Going upstairs to see a show is like watching someone perform in a pal's living room - with the bonus of being able to pop downstairs to check out the action in the bar.
