My wife and I stayed at The Alex Hotel for one night and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, beautifully presented, and spotlessly clean. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere, and all of the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. A special mention goes to Simon on reception, who made us feel genuinely welcome at check-in and set the tone for a great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Alex Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Dublin. We will definitely be back!
My mom and I recently stayed at The Alex for nearly a week during our first trip to Dublin, and it was the perfect choice for our splurge hotel. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a suite, which was incredibly spacious. Having a separate living room and bedroom gave us more than enough space to relax comfortably without feeling cramped, and the views of the city were wonderful. Because the room was so beautiful and comfortable, we actually found ourselves spending a lot of time chilling at the hotel between exploring. We also had access to the executive lounge, which was a massive perk. It was fully stocked with red and white wine, prosecco, beer, sodas, chips, and various snacks. Combined with the excellent included breakfast buffet—which featured a great spread of fresh pastries (my mom and I ate plenty of the delicious croissants), meats, cheeses, fruits, and greens—we ended up saving a lot of money on food and drinks during our week-long stay. The staff here are truly incredible. Alvero checked us in and gave us a lot of useful information and anytime we can past the desk they gave us a friendly hello. The housekeeping was also on top of it with our room being very clean and organized eveyday. Beyond being generally warm and welcoming, the front desk helped direct us in arranging a seamless laundry pick-up and delivery service right through the hotel, which made a long trip so much easier to manage. The Alex provided the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and top-tier hospitality. Being a highlight of our trip, I would absolutely consider staying here again the next time I find myself back in Dublin!
Great (2) nights at The Alex. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious with a variety of both healthier and sinful delights. Rooms were appointed nicely, air conditioning could have been a bit better, but overall beds very comfortable, towels and linens are of high quality and Luz in housekeeping was on point with service. Zaida and Simon at the front desk upon welcome and departure were exceptional offering top notch recommendations and accomodations for our needs. Highly recommend. The hotel is conveniently located a very short walk to Pearse Dart station for an easy access to PT.
We had such a lovely stay at The Alex! Luz our Housekeeper was amazing, the room was always clean and tidy. The location was good, not a ton of restaurants near by but easy access to public transportation. We would 100% stay there again.
I stayed for two nights in an Executive Twin room with my father, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect for a Dublin weekend; it’s close enough to Temple Bar and major attractions for easy access, yet tucked away enough to escape the chaos. The room was clean, spacious, and featured a great design aesthetic. I especially enjoyed the rainfall shower and the thoughtful complimentary touches like the Nespresso pods, hot chocolate, and Irish butter biscuits. What truly set this stay apart was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Simon at reception for being so helpful—he handled our early morning taxi booking, gave us lounge access, and was a pleasure to chat with. He made the entire process from check-in to check-out seamless. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back on my next trip to Ireland!
