I had an amazing stay at the Marine Hotel. Everything was perfect – the room was spotless, the atmosphere was relaxing, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Rebeka at reception, who was so lovely, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. She really made me feel welcome. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
The Marine Hotel has a lot of positives. The property is beautiful, the decor has so much charm, our room was spotless, and the location is hard to beat. Being able to walk right down to the beach was definitely the highlight of our stay. That said, I wouldn’t recommend staying here during the summer. Our room was unbearably hot. While some areas of the hotel felt cool and air-conditioned, our room had no AC, and the window only opened about six inches, so there was almost no airflow. We were given one fan, but it barely made a difference. We asked if we could get another fan or if the window could be opened any farther and were told no to both. The staff were friendly and polite, but there wasn’t really a solution offered. Breakfast was also underwhelming. The food wasn’t great, and the dining area felt understaffed, so the experience was a bit chaotic. Overall, this could be a really wonderful hotel. It’s clean, charming, and in a gorgeous location. But if you’re visiting during warmer weather, be aware that the lack of ventilation in some rooms can make for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.
Wow, what a super day we had yesterday at the Marine Hotel, Sutton! The beautiful sunshine, the fabulous garden setting, and the stunning sea views provided the perfect backdrop as we celebrated with over 30 local mums and almost 60 children graduating from the local school – the Class of 2026. The staff at the Marine Hotel were incredible. They looked after us so well, with friendly, efficient service throughout. The food was absolutely delicious, and we genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. It’s the perfect venue to host any gathering, and we look forward to seeing the exciting new chapter that the new management has planned. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable occasion!
Great service for our large group of local mums celebrating our Children's graduation with them. The set up on the grass was ideal. Michael the manager was brilliant from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and he checked on us for everything kindly a few times. All the bar staff were also kind and efficient. The drinks were perfect and the food was delicious, compliments to the chef. Great views over the lovely garden and beautiful beach. Child friendly hotel. Highly Recommend.
This was our last stay before heading home, and it was very well located for our needs. We stayed for two nights, and though it took a bit of walking, it wasn't difficult to get to the DART station to head to Howth and explore, which we loved. Then for the morning of our flight it was a fairly quick cab ride to the airport. The room was nice, it was super far from check in without an elevator, but the desk attendant offered to carry our stuff so I can't complain. We had a few drinks in the hotel bar each night and that was nice, just a quiet spot to relax and enjoy some peace before a day of traveling The view from our room over the beach and bay was beautiful
