I have been here a few times now. Desite the plethora of choice for best Guinness in Dublin, I keep coming here. I honestly think the best Guinness is not just the taste but also the multiple variables that make up the experience of the quaffing. The locale above all, the Quality of beer, service level, Irish welcome, speed of delivery (ie not too fast), the locals, the facilities, the food. The coming together of these and other elements make up the whole. I may start my own ranking! So Brannigans is a 5 star. Great Reuben sandwich. Perfectly toasted, overstuffed, nice salad. Lovely. Great staff. Quirky real people as customers, a bit older but that's good! Come and be welcomed!
If you visit Dublin the food was fabulous - authentic Irish food where locals clearly eat down a little side street from the main Templar Bar area. Seafood chowder delicous and chunky chips best ever!
Stopped at this pub just off O'Connell St looking for food. The atmosphere downstairs was good but where the restaurant was upstairs it seemed a bit soulless and devoid of atmosphere. Even some Irish music playing in the background would have helped add some life. The waitress did a good job and the meals were nice and portions were huge. Good hearty comfort food.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a decent price. The staff is very sweet and welcoming. Food came out within minutes, hit but edible as I expect it. Portions are great! If you have small apetite make sure to just get a starter which honestly can be a main! Had a starter of Brannigans Chicken Wings with BBQ Sauce. It tasted amazing. Chicken wings were tender and full of flavour. Main course I decide to go with Beef and Guinezs Casarol, it was full of beef chunks and again full of flavour. The only reason why I gave a 4 star atmosphere is because of the people, they were proper loud. Besides that, would recommend 5/5
Delicious food and drink selection! The staff is also very attentive and friendly. Super fish-&-chips and roast of the day!
