Stunning little cocktail bar, beautiful old style living room that makes you feel like you are in someone’s home. Cocktails are great, there is a nice choice of different options as well as classics. Reasonably priced cocktails and nibbles.
Speakeasy in a formal sitting room of a Victorian townhouse? Bring it on. A great concept: a slightly hidden bar next door to the restaurant, where you ring the bell, go up the stairs, and enter a sophisticated social space—the former “good room” of the family residing at 39 Camden Street. The atmosphere is carefully preserved, with a bay window overlooking Camden Street, elegant décor, a fireplace, chandelier, and vaulted ceilings—plus a menu featuring small bites, crafted cocktails, and a wide range of spirits, including whiskey. For a special occasion or a cheeky after-work drink, this one is worth a reservation. My choice: Espresso not Depresso and a fruity bartender creation. They will also craft a drink of your choice upon request. Check for two (with two cocktails each): 58 EUR Overall verdict: 9/10, can get quite narrow and busy as well as more crafted cocktails would be a great addition.
Never had so many questions on an IG story! This is the cacao cocktail and the crisps with jamon, sour cream and chives. Delicious
Great atmosphere, for a posher sort of crowd but made to feel welcome by the host regardless. Despite not knowing much about cocktails (I'm a simple man that is partial to a Guinness), I tried to order a Japanese slipper, white russian and a tequila sunrise, unfortunately they couldn't do any of these, which I found quite surprising. I ended up just ordered from their specials menu and enjoyed the drinks nonetheless. Other patrons there were rather snooty (however thats just my own personal prejudice, most likely), but half of them sat on their phones rather than interacting with eachother - which I thought was wasteful, rather than enjoying the experience... Drinks were nice (expensive but as you would expect for cocktails anyway), staff was pleasent, atmosphere was great! No complaints. If I win the lottery, I'll definitely be back.
