Delicious food and impressive natural-leaning wine list. The dressed oysters with strawberry and basil oil were wonderful, as were the monkfish with whipped taramasalata and squid & bean stew. The whipped basque cheesecake dessert was inventive and a revelation. A wide selection of wine by the glass, and a tremendously curated and well-priced list of wine by the bottle, including many IYKYK producers. No Bordeaux but you won’t miss it when you’ve got Jura, Ardeche and other interesting regions. Grab a bar seat to be close to the kitchen action, but be prepared for strong aromas.
Fantastic little gem. Modern twist on authentic Spanish tapas and racions. Waitress was faultless. Wine selection was amazing and she picked the perfect bottle for us. Food was perfection. Every plate. The tuna, crab sandwich, anchovy toast, croquetta, beef tartar were just heaven on little plates. Only one thing, the pork neck with romesco was so tough we were unable to eat it- but being honest, we ordered all the small plates before this so wasn’t needed. One of my fave spots now already in Dublin - absolutely gorgeous.
Had a fantastic meal here sat up at the counter where we could see the dishes coming together. The staff were really friendly and happy to explain the dishes to us. The anchovy toast was absolutely delicious and we ordered the mullet special which was a total treat. Highly recommend, had a wonder time.
Had a great meal at Bar Pez. Highlights were the Monkfish stew, bocadillo and basque cheesecake. We had some great wine recommendations from team, excellent service overall. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after a relaxed small-plates spot in Dublin. Would recommend reserving a table as it’s a small place with limited covers.
What a gem! Pez was such a lovely experience from start to finish. The atmosphere and service truly elevated the evening…warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. We ordered the croquettes, olives, scallop toast, tuna crudo, crab sandwich, tartare, and monkfish. We didn’t order a bottle and instead ordered multiple glasses over the course of the evening. The croquettes, scallop toast and monkfish were definite highlights for us. Overall, the menu (while looks small) was creative and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Recommend booking a reservation as the space is intimate. Definitely will go back!
