Absolutely wonderful experience here. The wine, food and service were to notch. Not sure what to drink with your food? The lads there give great suggestions and will not lead you astray. We tried both fish& chips plates and both were excellent, can't go won't with either. The mussels were amazing as well. Highly recommend!
Pristine Crab on Toast, wow, an absolute stunner, 11 off the scale. Russian Salad with Anchovy, wicked good, so clean, for anyone who might think they need to learn about anchovies and why they are delicious its cause you've never tried a good one, try this! Thank you very much for having a side green butter lettuce salad it makes the meal so palate cleansing and genius. Champagne of course. Txokoli rose, it's summer so whenever you can. Dessert is a kiss on the cheek light and lovely. If it were cold and rainy like usual there is a warm hug of a sticky toffee pudding.
Had a great meal here. Small space with limited seating so I would recommend having a booking. The vibe is great as well as the service. Started with the Anchovy + Russian Salad on Toast which was amazing. Not too heavy or rich but flavorful. Then had the plaice per the staff’s recommendation. Another well done dish. The fish was so buttery and flakey, super fresh flavor balanced well with the light batter. Chips were classic thick style but not too heavy. Also got the butterhead salad whip was very fresh and a great compliment to the dish. Prices are a bit higher but the quality is unmatched. Definitely recommend if looking for a class fish and chips. Again massive shout out to the staff they are super friendly and knowledgeable!
This has to be the best fish and chips in Dublin for sure. Very cozy restaurant and wine bar. We had no reservations, but we were seated right away with a limited menu and the promise that we would be done in 45 minutes to free our table, which had been reserved. This worked out great for us, and we appreciated them accommodation us. We will definitely come again in our next trip to Dublin. Two thumbs up!
Had a fantastic meal at Fish Shop. The food was outstanding from start to finish — the oysters were incredibly fresh, the scallops perfectly seared with a beautiful buttery sauce, and the fish and chips were crisp, light, and full of flavour. Even the small bites were thoughtful and delicious. It’s simple seafood done with real skill. The relaxed atmosphere and warm service made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to return.
