Really beautiful hotel in a great location, the staff were very lovely. There is no air con in the room so there was a Dyson fan, which worked fine for us. Definitely would stay again.
Beautiful hotel, we were very disappointed the room we specifically booked at the time of booking was not available at the time of Check in. We were given an option of a smaller room with AC or ground floor with none. At time of breakfast the table we were provided was next to reception we were sitting with our backs to other guest suitcases and lots of people checking in and out. A small screen would help to separate guests from the activity of reception. We were served fruit and juice immediately upon sitting (excellent quality) then we were forgotten about by the waiting staff for the nearly 20 minutes. We simply left.
This hotel is set in a beautiful Georgian townhouse, and the elegant lounges are a lovely place to relax. The full Irish breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing, especially considering we paid €880 for two nights. One issue is that the booking process doesn’t make it clear what type of room you are actually reserving. We were initially given an attic room during a heatwave, with no air conditioning. We understand that air conditioning is uncommon in historic buildings like this, but the room was unbearably hot. After asking to move, we were offered a spacious basement room with a small English courtyard, which was much more comfortable. We also asked if we could have afternoon tea in the garden and were told it had to be booked five days in advance. Later, we checked the hotel’s website and found that only 24 hours’ notice is required, meaning we could have booked it for the following day. It was disappointing to miss out because we were given incorrect information. Overall, it’s a charming property with plenty of character, but the service and attention to detail did not match the premium price.
Wow - what an incredible hotel! Beautiful hotel inside - so luxurious and comfortable. Staff were amazing - couldn’t do enough to help make our stay even more perfect. Breakfast was impressive. Garden was a peaceful paradise. I loved every second in this hotel and will definitely return! Thank you to all the staff for making it such a memorable trip.
Staunton's On The Green was on my wish to stay list for a while and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to stay here this year. We stayed 2 nights and used a Go Anywhere Gift Card to cover our stay, the check-in process was so easy and they had no issue putting through the gift card as payment, which is always appreciated. We were checking in late after a gig and the atmosphere was fab, so relaxing and the proximity to St. Stephen's Green is wonderful, it was great to pop across in the morning, have a coffee from Butler's on the corner and sit out in the park. Everything is within good walking distance from this lovely townhouse. The room was so cosy, the beds unbelievably comfortable, it was great to fall into them after a gig. It was just so quiet and peaceful, I would 100% stay here again.
