Favourite bar in Dublin, serves the best kilkenny pint and cocktails around. We have loved staying here in the past and always stop for drinks. The staff are great, always welcoming and friendly. Never had a bad experience here, and the building itself is very cool and in a great location.
1st & foremost, the host Laura made my nights stay O'Regan's super memorable. She made me feel a O'Regan's is a home away from home. Epitome of great hospitality. Furthermore, the bar staff Joe & Eva & Alex serve my Guinness with heart & a warm smile Stayed on a Saturday night when Brazil was playing Morroco on the World cup, and with the youngish crowd, the noise from the bar is what it is on a Saturday night. It turned dead quiet when the bars are closed. My bad for choosing to stay on a football Saturday night. I hear that they are well know for jazz nights on either Mondays or Tuesday. Other week days are local Dublin artists. Highly recommend and great value for the price Cheers Laura & gang 🍺🍺🍺
Firstly the room was lovely, it was very clean and had loads of character. The fixtures and fittings cost a fortune. I have buster and punch in my own home and know the exorbitant cost of those. It didn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated. My first gripe was that in no way, whatsoever, was the picture the same as the room I got. The room was small. I paid for a “superior room” with an “extra large double bed”, the bed was smaller than a double. There was no way on Gods green earth it was “an extra large double bed”. The photos also showed a bath. There was no bath. In the morning I could hear someone’s alarm going off every 15 mins. They may as well have been in the room with me it was so loud. The drink downstairs made me sick. I had a good pint of Moretti before I went out, I went out, and came back later in the night and ordered a ‘Hugo’ what I received was not a Hugo. It was awful. I ordered a pint of Moretti then and it was awful. It was like it was watered down or something. Yes I should have said something but considering that it was the two drinks that were an issue and other people in the reviews have had issues with the drink here I just assume that’s the norm here. I am quite sick today and concerned for my health and it was 100% the drink I had here.
Writing to thank Laura and her family for accommodating us during our trip to Dublin, I don’t think we could have made a wiser choice for lodging! Even though we stayed during a weekend, our rooms were quiet and relaxing, we hardly heard any street noise and slept soundly through the night. Also, the breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start our mornings. If you’re planning to visit Dublin and don’t know where to stay, look no further!
Really cool place to stay with a great vibe. The bar got packed on Friday night but they had a basement “keg room” that was a little more low key that we really liked. The rooms upstairs were nice and super convenient
