By far THE BEST fish & chips I have had world-wide! Not joking! The pub was full of locals, so a traditional feel,much better than the tourist/college kids filled pubs - which are fun too. But if you want to hear yourself in convo or thought, enjoy very delicious food, and immerse yourself in a warm-welcoming Irish house, then this is a must place to stop. *Other dish that was had was Irish Cottage Pie - also super delicious.
On our way in we past some folks on their way out way and they mentioned "The food here is great". Well yes sir the food is awesome! 3 of us (out of 4) ordered the club sandwich (which arrived in quick fashion) and it was outstanding! Fresh, flavourful accompanied side salad, beautiful fries and pint of Murphy’s. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and (as mentioned) awesome food. Thanks Stags Head!
Great atmosphere, lovely and funny staff. The food was yum! Ordered the beef and Guinness stew and enjoyed every bit of it including the Guinness bread. Never knew there was anything like that. Highly recommended.
This place was great, I had read that it might be a little bit touristy but it sure didn’t feel that way. We got there about a half an hour before they started serving food and the bartender let us know that. We had a pint while we were waiting, and it was served absolutely perfectly, our bartender with a real professional, you could tell that he really cared about what he was doing. At exactly 12 o’clock, he came to our table and said… What can I get you to eat? We had the special which was a corned beef sandwich and fries which we split, and my wife still took a piece of Her's home. The food was great and there was plenty of it for 15 bucks. I think if you’re in Dublin, you should get off the beaten path a little bit and come to this place.
Must have been the single worlds best toastie i have ever had in my entire live. 🤞 Stuffed with shredded Kassler and Béchamel this thing was properly good. The bread was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, and inside you get this generous filling of smoky, tender shredded pork that tastes just like Kassler, melted cheese, and a rich Béchamel that holds it all together. The thick cut chips have been more than good company for the toastie. 🤣
