Our first stop in Dublin for our very first Guinness, and it couldn’t have been better. The Guinness was perfectly poured and tasted fantastic. The pub had a great traditional atmosphere, and in the evening it was packed with locals and visitors, creating an amazing vibe. We enjoyed our pints outside on the street, which made the experience even more memorable. A perfect place to start a visit to Dublin!

Built in 1823, it transitioned to a public house in the early 1900s under the Ryan family.Family Ownership: Purchased in 1946 by Bill Aherne and run by the same family for generations. Frequented by legendary Irish writers and poets like Patrick Kavanagh, Brendan Behan, and Flann O'Brien. Served as a primary watering hole for The Irish Times editors and reporters due to its proximity to the newspaper's former offices. Retains its original mahogany woodwork, gilded mirrors, and vaulted ceiling with stained-glass skylights. A tiny private wooden booth where historical figures like Michael Collins allegedly held secret meetings. An upstairs bar featuring hundreds of distinct whiskeys, including exclusive house-selected labels.

Came here with my mate yesterday and loved the chilled out atmosphere and the decor, plus they had there own stout on which tasted really good, if back in Dublin will have to come back

Visited The Palace Bar in Dublin and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Redbreast 12 Year whiskey, The Palace Bar 12 Year whiskey, and a Guinness — all excellent choices. The Redbreast 12 Year was smooth, rich, and full of character, while The Palace Bar 12 Year whiskey felt special and well worth trying. The Guinness was perfectly poured, creamy, and fresh, just as you’d expect in Dublin. The atmosphere in the bar was warm, traditional, and full of charm. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy quality drinks, and soak in the authentic Dublin pub experience. The staff were friendly, and the overall vibe felt welcoming and comfortable. A great spot for whiskey lovers and anyone looking for a classic Dublin pub. Would definitely visit again.

I was staying near here so walked past often and finally made it in. Its a cute traditional bar on Fleet St right at the beginning of the Temple Bar strip of pubs. It was ok when I arrived and I managed to get a seat at the bar but within 10 mins the bar was filling up and it wad only like 3pm. The poor bar tender was getting stressed as people were ordering toasties as well as drinks and he only seemed to be on by himself. First time I have come across a bar tender who was stressed here and I felt sorry for him. A lovely bar to have a drink in.
