Great pub. Guinness is excellent and not pricey. Great selection of beers as well. Music sessions are amazing. The night I was there, there were over 20 musicians. Staff were really friendly. Can get busy.
Ditto the many reviews. What is very endearing is the kindness the local musicians show by inviting visitors who have brought their instruments and are “sitting in” on a jam to participate and showcase what skills or contributions they might have to the evenings music. Very genuine, no ego hospitality.
lively pub probably because of the live music. a little in the out skirts but definitely worth the visit. local musicians playing mainly a little repetitive celtic tunes. once in a while an unforgettable music moment may strike with the help of pint of guinness.
Probably the best pub we visited in Dublin. A hidden gem and local hotspot. The drinks were delicious and ambience incredible. Live music which local musicians played and sang from the heart-no music to read from! While the pub was small, it afforded us a chance to meet nearly everyone sitting around us. No food served allowed for greater conversation with patrons over great pints and superb Irish music! Truly a big highlight of our travels.
The best place in Dublin for authentic traditional Irish music. No frills, just great atmosphere, friendly locals, and top-quality sessions. A must-visit if you want to experience the real soul of the city. Also, one of the cheapest beer in my few days in Dublin (6.7 eur if I am not wrong).
