Description

On this luxury full-day tour you'll take in renowned landmarks of Dublin city, the spectacular scenery of Dublin Bay's coastline and the splendor of County Wicklow, which is suitably known as 'The Garden Of Ireland'. In the morning, we'll see the historic Georgian Quarter of Dublin and Government buikdings, drive south through the quaint coastal villages of Blackrock, Dalkey and Killiney, spot celebrity homes and coastal military towers, before enjoying coffee/tea and great views overlooking the Irish Sea in Bray. From there, we venture into Wicklow Mountains National Park, surrounded by beautiful scenery throughout the driving route. We'll discover the deep spiritual history and see the amazing ruins of Glendalough’s early Christian monastic city and round tower, enjoy a light scenic walk through Glendalough's spectacular glacial valley and a delicious lunch in a charming local restaurant, The Wicklow Heather. The area is also renowned as a filming location for Hollywood blockbuster over the years. More natural beauty and top attractions await in the Wicklow Mountains for the afternoon, with the world-famous Guinness Lake, the 'P.S. I Love You' Bridge and Powerscourt Waterfall, the highest in Ireland. Then it's on to Powerscourt House & Gardens, to take in the grandeur of the 18th Century palladian mansion and the majestic Italian gardens, named by National Geographic at No. 3 in the world's top 10 gardens. Set against the rugged beauty of the nearby Great Sugarloaf Mountain, this is a place with a remarkable and varied story to tell over the centuries and awe-inspiring views. Then enjoy a complimentary Irish whiskey before we take the easy 45-minute drive back to Dublin. Your qualified Irish tour guide will provide all the information on the sights throughout the day, answer your questions, assist with all requests and endeavour to entertain throughout! The physical exertion during the day is minimal. It's a leisurely, relaxing day packed with outstanding scenery, rich history and lots of fun.
