Clean room and great location are the only good things about this hotel. Rooms are ridiculously small, lack basics like drinking water, safety door lock, cabinets for storage, and a cup for toothbrushes, and the breakfast was probably worst that we ate in all of Ireland (could be worse I suppose, at least there were some hot options). Would not stay here again.

Overall, dealing with the staff was more stressful than it should have been for a family vacation meant to be relaxing. I had to advocate for basic things we'd already paid for. I booked a premium room with a view (city or St. Patrick's Cathedral, as shown on the booking website) on a higher floor. However, at check-in, I was given a lower-floor room with a window facing the hotel wall. I raised this with the receptionist, who initially said nothing could be done since the system had assigned that room. After considerable back-and-forth, she called the assistant manager, who gave the same explanation at first but eventually changed the assignment to the higher-floor premium view room I had actually paid for. While I did eventually get the correct room, it shouldn't have taken so much effort. Being told "this is what the system assigned" felt like a poor excuse. If a room type is listed and bookable on the website, it should be automatically reserved for the person who pays for it, otherwise, it raises concerns about double-booking, with rooms going to whoever pushes hardest. I shouldn't have had to insist on receiving what we paid for, especially after explaining this was our first family trip to Ireland with our newborn. The room we booked should simply have been ready and waiting for us. Once we were settled, I asked the front desk the next morning to take out the trash and replace the towels, mentioning we had a baby with us. When we returned at 6 PM, however, neither had been done. Since the phone line was busy, I had to go down to reception in person, then wait over 30 minutes in the lobby for housekeeping, after a long day out with a tired baby. One bright spot was the room itself once we got it: the view of St. Patrick's Cathedral was beautiful, and we enjoyed the view throughout our stay.

Lovely hotel with a really cool, quirky lobby area with tonnes of seating options and a TV, making it a great space to relax in. The staff were excellent throughout. We had two separate one-night bookings and they linked them together for us at the assisted check-in with no hassle, which was really appreciated. The room itself was spotless, cosy and really functional. I loved the tech setup, with the iPad controlling the lights, TV, blinds and curtains. The rainfall shower was excellent too. One side of the bed was tucked in against the window, but this is clearly part of the room layout and shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone booking. Breakfast was really good, again with very friendly staff. My wife was especially delighted with the quality of the coffee. My only small request would be that a couple of glasses in the room for toothbrushes/toothpaste would have been handy, but overall we had a brilliant stay and would happily recommend it.

Unfortunately, our stay at CitizenM Dublin wasn’t the best fit, particularly while travelling with my grandparents. I would strongly encourage anyone with mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, or accessibility needs to do their research before booking. That said, the hotel itself is beautiful. The design is modern, stylish, and full of personality. If I were visiting Dublin with a group of friends for a fun night away, I could absolutely see the appeal and would probably have a great time. For our particular trip, however, the hotel wasn’t especially accessible, and the loud music and bright, busy atmosphere in the common areas could be overwhelming for some guests. We also found the food and drink prices to be quite high. I especially want to recognize Victoria, who was working the morning we checked out. After an otherwise disappointing experience, she completely changed our impression of the hotel. She took the time to connect with us, was genuinely kind and welcoming, helped with our bags, and made sure we were able to get a taxi without any issues. Her exceptional customer service, warmth, and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. While the hotel itself wasn’t the right fit for us on this trip, Victoria left us with a positive final impression and deserves recognition for her outstanding hospitality.

First time staying at a citizen m. This hotel is nicely located walkable to all downtown items. Check in is high tech you make your own keys. Rooms use mini ipads to control lights, blinds, temperature and tv. Bed is width of room so crawl straight into it. Our bed was very firm. Staff was nice and bar and food and common area on first floor are good. Good value for your money. We would have liked a wash cloth but you get towel and hand towel.
