Our sever Johnny M made this gem of a local pub an unforgettable spot. The vibe, the people in the bar, working the bar… even the amazing lot well behaved dogs at the bar. What a great local spot. Just off the beaten trail. Outstanding night, and as good of a Guiness pour you will ever find!
Became our favourite pub when we lived in Dublin - great pints, really good service, and conveniently close to Da Mimmo, so it's ideal if you fancy bringing over a pizza or two.

We spent our best evening in Dublin at Cusack’s. Looking for a real Irish pub experience near our hotel - not a loud, tourist-heavy party scene - this was exactly what we hoped to find. The atmosphere felt authentic and relaxed, the team was fantastic and worked seamlessly together, and the Guinness was poured to perfection. We ended up just sitting there, soaking it all in and enjoying the genuine local vibe. If you’re looking for a true Dublin pub experience, this is it.
We spent the evening at Cusack’s from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The pub itself has a nice atmosphere and the brunette barmaid was absolutely lovely. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She truly deserves praise for her excellent service. The disappointment came from the manager. His attitude was unhelpful and dismissive right from the start. After a bill well over €100, we politely asked if there could be a small complimentary drink to finish the night. The refusal was not the issue, we understand policies. It was the way he handled it: cold, arrogant, and turning his back on us while continuing to serve his friends, giving the clear impression that some customers are valued more than others. To be honest, I could not help feeling that our background may have played a role in how differently we were treated. It is a very unpleasant impression to leave with, especially in a country known for its hospitality. Given the pub’s generally good rating, this came as a real surprise. Anyone can check my profile and see that I rarely leave negative reviews, I usually prefer not to comment at all. This time, though, the experience was disappointing enough to share. A pub with excellent staff on the floor, unfortunately overshadowed by the manager’s behaviour. A real shame.
