Came here as part of the Rural Pub Tours excursion. We enjoyed a couple of local brews and a music session. It was serious fun in a pub that is rich in history and great views of Dublin Bay.
The perfect dog friendly pub with the most gorgeous view. We come here often. On our last visit our dog took a super comfy nap in a cosy corner. The food and the vibe is awesome.
Every picture tells a story, a home from home visit from Germany and meeting up with lifelong friends, where to meet, where to eat and catch up. After examining a number of options, the idea of one establishment charging €48 for a steak plus €7 for chips or mash then adding 12.5% service charge just didn't cut it. I said to my friends you drink in the Blue Light, they serve food, is it any good I asked? , being a Thursday evening rambled in at 7pm, friends had booked a table, it was quiet compared to the weekends. Personally I was spoilt for choice with the menu and it's reasonable pricing. I could wax lyrically about who had what meal. I'll let the pictures tell that story. Combined with the service the quality and taste of all our food it's was an extremely pleasant dining experience all round. Guess what? I'll be back.
Friendly staff, place is full of character, lots of nooks and crannies, covered and outdoor beer gardens. Great food and great views! And a delicious creamy pint of Guinness.
